I hope everyone is able just to stay cool. This was about two of the hottest buying trips we have ever been on. Some how I am always on the side of the truck where the sun beams in ! Our first trip was American Furniture.( A quick list. ) Set of oak T back chairs, Queen Anne music cabinet,Batchlors chest with pull out slide, Mah. chest on chest, Serpentine front double dressser,( perfect for changing table) ,table with magazine holder ends, Two mah center tables, Q. A. occasional chair, sheet music cabinet, Mah. night stand, Dining table with three shirted leaves, Pair of mah pineapple post twin beds, Henry Don oval dining table with leaves, Set of 6 sheild back mah. chairs, Tall drop leaf occasional table, chippendale mah chest on chest. SECOND BUYING TRIP was from London. We picked it up in Texas. Texas was so hot every tree had a pile of cows under it trying to stay cool! WE bought all we could haul . (A QUICK LIST )Mah. Georgian Sideboard. pub table,Night stands, seve
ral small chest, tea carts, oak sideboard,Two door oak robe,corner cabinet,Mah secretary with bookcase top, pair of staffordshire dogs, Fernstand ( or candle stand) Chippendale side by side curio with rope band, two more sideboards. desk table with two drawers, Curio cabinet with ball and claw feet,robe with two doors over two drawers, 4 more pub tables, several sets of pub chairs, glassware, Mahogany Queen Anne Bar cabinet. Several small English pieces....... Come see us when you can. Pray for rain, a little cooler weather, and an early fall.------- Nonie Carpenter
